Farm life

My Blog

Here's a bit of a background to start out with:
I'm a former archaeologist, turned museum nerd, who is attempting to become a homesteader. I have a husband who is also a former archaeologist, and we have two beautiful boys, who are 4 and 2. We are the luckiest family ever, because we get to live on this wonderful farm that has been in my family for over 100 years
Two and a half years ago, in September of 2008, we moved here from the big city with a 2-year-old and a 3-week-old baby. We took over the old farm house, 80 acres, amazing flower gardens, and a huge vegetable garden. Since that obviously wasn't enough, we also decided to get new jobs. Oh, and a puppy. A huge, fluffy Great Pyrenees puppy. And thus our farm life began.
These two years have been a huge learning curve, but we are loving every minute of farm life.
